Central Beheer – Case Study
Centraal Beheer, built by Herman Hertzberger in 1972 emphasizes Rationailty in it’s most raw form: modular design as well as “unit”- based construction.
Our take on Centraal Beheer was translated in model form via Rockite and plastic, and involved creating part molds as well a s a ‘cast in place’ strategy as pieces needed to be fused together to create the unit. Due to constraints on model scale, the unit ha s been built in two parts; below and overhead construction.
